Presentation of the Foundation

There French Alliance Foundation is the reference organisation for the international network of Alliance Française, present in 138 countries. It supports and animates this network around the promotion of the French language, Francophone cultures and intercultural dialogue.

In 2027, the Foundation will organize the World Congress of Alliance Française in Paris, from October 6 to 8, 2027, which will bring together several hundred representatives of Alliance Française organizations from around the world.

Mission presentation

Within the Communication and Events team, the volunteer will participate in the preparation and promotion of the World Congress of Alliance Française, as well as in the various communication actions and events organized by the Foundation.

This mission will offer the opportunity to discover the organization of an international event, institutional and event communication, as well as the functioning of a cultural network present throughout the world.

Activities offered

Support for the organization of the 2027 World Congress

• Participate in the logistical and operational preparation of the Congress.
• Contribute to monitoring the program, the stakeholders and the various key events.
• Participate in the preparation of the materials and tools needed for the event.
• Contribute to welcoming and orienting participants.
• Discover the coordination of service providers and partners, alongside the team.
• Participate in the preparation of events organized prior to the Congress and in the celebration of the Foundation's 20th anniversary.

Support for communication activities

• Contribute to the creation and distribution of content for the Foundation's social media and communication materials.
• To participate in promoting the projects and events of the Alliance Française around the world.
• Participate in the collection of content, photographs and testimonials from the network.
• Contribute to the coverage of the Foundation's events: photographs, videos, publications and reports.

Participation in the life of the international network

• Discover the projects carried out by the Alliance Française in different countries.
• Participate in promoting the network's initiatives.
• Contribute to the creation of content highlighting the diversity of actions of the Alliance Française.

This mission is aimed at anyone wishing to get involved in a cultural project with an international dimension.

No specific professional experience is required. Motivation, curiosity, and a desire to contribute to a collective project will be valued.

This experience will allow the volunteer to discover:

• Organizing an international event bringing together several hundred participants.
• The different aspects of institutional and event communication.
• The creation of digital content and the management of social networks.
• Exchanges with partners and service providers.
• The functioning of an international cultural network.
• The challenges of promoting the French language and Francophone cultures.

The volunteer will receive regular support from the Foundation's Communication and Events team throughout their mission.
