Support for educational projects and school life

Description of the reception facility :  

Join Cours Sévigné, an accredited French school in Abidjan, to mentor primary and middle school students. You will lead fun and cultural workshops, participate in civic projects, and contribute to fostering community in an exceptional intercultural environment. 

Goals :  

Contributing to equal opportunities by supporting students with diverse profiles within a French school in Abidjan. The mission aims to strengthen civic engagement, educational solidarity, and community spirit within a multicultural community of over 1,000 students. 

Description of missions :   

Depending on your assignment (primary or middle school), you will actively participate in the school's educational life. You will support students during group activities: arrival, recess, and workshops. You will co-lead workshops promoting reading, oral expression, and creativity. You will contribute to the organization of community, civic, and environmental projects. You will participate in the preparation of cultural and educational events: exhibitions, performances, and field trips. You will help promote student projects through communication materials. You will work daily within an intercultural team of French national education teachers and locally recruited staff, in the heart of Abidjan. 

Other :   

• Two volunteers needed.
• The position involves shared accommodation with the other volunteer. Meals are provided during the days of attendance, according to the school calendar.
