Promoting access to the French language through the facilitation of educational activities at AF Chiclayo

Description of the reception facility :

The Alliance Française of Chiclayo is a non-profit cultural association dedicated for over 60 years to the dissemination and teaching of the French language and to Franco-Peruvian cultural dialogue. Our mission is to promote the French language, Francophone culture, and cultural exchange between Peru and France through our teaching activities and the organization of cultural events.

Goals :

To contribute to the promotion of French language and culture in Peru by supporting the educational activities of AF Chiclayo, to promote equitable access to educational and cultural resources, to contribute to the development of eco-responsible activities and the promotion of human rights.

Description of missions :

The volunteer supports the local team in the development of educational and cultural projects and their dissemination to student and teacher audiences, within the AF and partner institutions in northern Peru (mobility provided).

In coordination with the teaching team:

• Support for the implementation of educational activities.
• To support the dissemination of educational activities within French as a Foreign Language (FLE) courses.

Under the responsibility and in support of the educational coordinator:

• Participate in the organization of courses and educational meetings.
• Contribute to the educational and administrative monitoring of French as a Foreign Language (FLE) courses.
• Participate in the development of a strategic plan for the development of educational activities outside the classroom.

With the cultural team:

• Promoting educational activities during events.
• To promote cultural offerings to students and teachers.
• Participate in the plan to increase the visibility of the media library as an educational and cultural space.

Strong initiative is expected, as well as a high degree of linguistic and socio-cultural affinity for the local context.

Mandatory training courses

Training at the start of La Guilde + onboarding within the team upon arrival on site.

Tutoring and support

Tutoring is provided by the AF management in close collaboration with the educational coordination team.
