Organizing fun and cultural activities in Madagascar

Description of the accommodation facility:

The Vatosoa association works to promote the values of alternative pedagogies and to support parents. The association's objective is to support the development and well-being of children aged 1 to 12 in Madagascar through the dissemination of alternative and nurturing educational practices.

Missions:

• With the support of supervisors, we set up fun and cultural activities (songs, games, drawing, outings) within the Vatosoa school but also within the specialized classes of our partners; (places where Vatosoa trainers intervene)
• participation in the organisation of activities (musical activities, games and outings); ;
• participation in parent support, and observation during parent coffee mornings.
• participation in supporting educators and teachers from partner associations who benefit from training provided by Vatosoa educators and trainers
• If their level of English or foreign languages (Chinese, Spanish or other) allows it, the volunteer will be able to set up language activities and workshops with the educators.
• opportunity to observe the work within the speech therapist's office
• The volunteer will also be able to support the association's team in maintaining the Facebook page, communication tools, and other digital tools. ;

Your environment:

The volunteer will be supported by a French tutor and a Malagasy tutor, who will be able to advise and assist them should any problems arise. Tamatave is a very pleasant city to live in. The school's teaching staff will be there to welcome the volunteer and help them experience Malagasy life.

A small guide to good conduct is provided upon arrival to ensure a peaceful visit to Tamatave.
The volunteer will be able to stay and be fed at the Vatosoa school initially in order to take the time to find a shared apartment or a small studio to their liking.

In practice:

• 1 volunteer needed
• Maximum 10 months from September to June, minimum 6 months
• Accessible to those over 18 years of age only
• 30 hours per week
