The Association for the Education of Children in Difficulty (APEED Benin) is a non-profit organization, created in 2003, based in Parakou in the Republic of Benin, and legally recognized since 2007.
It works to ensure equitable access to quality education for orphans, children, and young people from vulnerable families. Through its actions, the association implements initiatives such as academic support, tutoring, social support, the distribution of school supplies, and the organization of educational and civic activities.
Convinced that education is an essential lever for social transformation, APEED Benin is committed to supporting children in precarious situations in order to offer them equal opportunities for academic success and full personal development.

Assignment :

To contribute to the education of young people and their socio-professional integration through personalized support

1. Educational and social support

  • Welcoming, listening to and guiding children, teenagers and families.
  • Participate in monitoring beneficiaries and identifying their educational, social or psychosocial needs.
  • To contribute to actions to prevent school dropout and to monitor situations requiring special attention.

2. Child protection and psychosocial support

  • Participate in identifying situations of vulnerability and in child protection actions.
  • To lead activities that promote well-being, expression and self-confidence.
  • Contribute to the prevention of violence and to the drafting of monitoring and evaluation tools.

3. Educational activities and academic support

  • Facilitating educational activities and creative workshops in small groups.
  • Participate in academic support, particularly in reading, written and oral expression and comprehension.
  • Develop actions that promote autonomy and the joy of learning.

4. Development of the educational library project

  • Participate in the preparation and gradual implementation of the future educational library (planned between October and December 2026).
  • Contribute to the organization of space, the inventory of works and the creation of management tools.
  • Develop activities around books: reading, writing workshops, book clubs and cultural activities.

Terms :

  • 2-day pre-departure preparation at La Guilde headquarters
  • Monthly compensation of €558.17 covered by the State
  • APEED provides housing assistance
  • Lunch provided from Monday to Friday
