Raising awareness about environmental preservation in schools in Ivory Coast

Description of the reception facility :  

Present in three countries (Togo, Ivory Coast, and France), the NGO Moi Jeu Tri aims to promote ecological transformation by involving African youth in environmental education programs and the creation of local ecosystems. Its primary mission is to educate the citizens of today and tomorrow through awareness-raising and engagement through action. In 2021, the Moi Jeu Tri program was deployed in 100 schools in Ivory Coast, empowering 40,000 new children to drive environmental change. They will only meet these challenges by developing strong synergies and partnerships to transform waste into more than just waste. Together, let's act for tomorrow; together, let's educate the citizens of today and tomorrow! 

Goals :  

As part of the Moi Jeu Tri deployment strategy, civic service volunteers will be tasked with participating in the implementation and facilitation of environmental education programs in schools in Abidjan (Port-Bouët, Bingerville, Grand Bassam, etc.). 

Description of missions :   

• Co-facilitate awareness programs (environmental preservation and waste management, marine ecosystems, art & waste, urban agriculture, bio-waste, etc.) in schools. 

• Contribute to program reporting (data collection, feedback from the field) under the supervision of the tutor. 

• Contribute to the capitalization of good practices and the documentation of methods, under the supervision of the tutor. 

• Contribute to the development of tools and materials for raising awareness and training students and teachers. 

• Contribute to the regular monitoring of field activities with schools, groups and local partners. 

• Participate in team meetings and report on the progress of activities to the tutor. 

• Participate in the project evaluation.
